About This Role
We're looking for a college student seeking internship credit to help grow audience engagement and customer marketing for MMR Magazine (music retail industry, est. 1879) and SBO+ Magazine (music educators).
What makes this different:
You won't be manually creating everything from scratch. We've built a modern marketing automation platform with AI-powered tools for content generation, campaign analysis, and audience research. Your job is to leverage these tools strategically—curating AI-generated content, optimizing based on performance data, and ensuring our best stories reach the right audiences.
Time tracking is automatic—our platform logs task completion, so your hours are documented for both payment (via Venmo) and credit verification.
This internship can last one or more semesters based on your college's requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Social Media Management (Using Amplifier)
• Use our AI-powered Amplifier tool to bulk-generate 30-90+ social posts per month
• Review, curate, and schedule AI-generated content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads)
• Fine-tune tone and messaging for different audiences (retailers vs. educators)
• Monitor auto-sync pipeline (new articles automatically generate social drafts)
• Create simple graphics using Canva/Adobe Express when needed
Email Campaign Support (Using SendMusicMail)
• Assist with email campaigns using our drag-and-drop composer
• Review AI-powered subject line analysis and benchmark predictions
• Help set up A/B tests to optimize open rates, re-targeting, drip campaigns and more
• Schedule campaigns and monitor performance metrics
• Learn from 1,400+ historical campaign benchmarks
Research & Intelligence (Using Industry Insights)
• Use our research assistant to gather competitive intelligence and market trends
• Query our database of 140,000+ industry articles
• Compile findings into marketing reports
• Support survey creation and review AI-analyzed response summaries
Coordination & Reporting
• Maintain content calendar (what's scheduled, where, when)
• Monthly performance summary using dashboard metrics
• Flag opportunities based on benchmark comparisons
MONTHLY DELIVERABLES
• Social posts scheduled: 60-80/month (curated from AI-generated batches via Amplifier)
• Email campaign support: 2-4/month (assist with SendMusicMail composer)
• Simple graphics: 4-8/month (Canva/Adobe Express - quote cards, promo tiles)
• Short videos: 1-2/month (optional - simple reels from existing assets)
• Monthly metrics recap: 1/month (dashboard screenshot + key insights)

Requirements
• Currently enrolled college student seeking internship credit
• Major in music, marketing, business, technology, communications, or related field—OR any major with genuine interest in the music industry
• Strong editing eye—reviewing and refining AI-generated content
• Comfortable learning new marketing technology and platforms
• Reliable and communicates proactively, entrepreneurial vibes
• Computer with dependable internet
• Available for Zoom meetings as needed
Nice-to-Have:
• WordPress or basic HTML experience
• Canva or Adobe Express experience
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms
• Basic analytics comfort (understanding reach/engagement/clicks)
