Alumbrar Sound Services has added a Lectrosonics Duet digital wireless monitoring system to the equipment it uses for touring, festival and broadcast projects, according to information released by Lectrosonics.
The Vancouver-based company’s inventory includes DSR4 four-channel digital receivers, SRc dual-channel slot receivers, SMDWB miniature wideband transmitters and DHu handheld transmitters. Its Duet monitoring package uses M2T dual-stereo transmitters and M2Ra receivers.
Founder Alejandro Rivas used Lectrosonics wireless equipment during a six-week outdoor broadcast assignment at Vancouver’s Jack Poole Plaza. The temporary studio operated in a congested radio-frequency environment and supplied audio for Canadian television coverage.
Rivas said the Duet system’s Dante support, four mono mixes in a half-rack transmitter and onboard scanning were important for his live-monitoring work. Alumbrar is offering rental packages centered on the system in Western Canada.
For pro-audio dealers and rental suppliers, the deployment illustrates how a customer can combine slot receivers, body-pack and handheld transmitters and digital monitoring products within one wireless inventory. Frequency coordination, network-audio support and rental-package design are part of the sale alongside the hardware.
